Born in 2020 or later, these young companies are utilising the latest techniques in AI, machine learning and software development to push the boundaries of what’s possible in a range of industries – from healthcare to fashion, from E-commerce to food service. Let’s take a look at what each of these fantastic startups is bringing to the table.
The first company we’re featuring, Encord, is a platform for the AI-assisted annotation of data. They’re not just focusing on AI, but also have a team of human experts working collaboratively with their AI tools. Encord’s mission is to help businesses rapidly improve and widen their AI capabilities by annotating data faster and more accurately for a fraction of the cost. Next up, we have Metalynx. This company has developed a low-code/no-code software that empowers non-technical experts to create their own computer vision applications with minimal training. It uses cutting-edge AI and computer vision tech to build robust apps, all guided by their co-founder, Kanwal Bhatia.
Verchable is an AI and computer vision company. They’re remaining quite secretive about their current project, but we do know that they’re disrupting the market under the leadership of co-founders Abhi Arora and Deniz Cicek Elitez.

Operating within the food and beverage industry, SATIS.AI developed an operating system designed to improve decision making and reduce mistakes in autonomous restaurant kitchens. Founded by Mohammad Khodadadi, their initial mission is to address the market of refunded orders in the EU & USA, but they have a more ambitious long-term objective to build automated kitchens to disrupt the global food service market.

Alongside these, the computer vision tech scene in London boasts a number of other fantastic startups – NeuroNav, an augmented reality and computer vision platform for surgical navigation; Grayscale AI, specializing in neuromorphic AI to improve sustainability and efficiency; EnVsion, a platform that speeds up businesses’ work with videos; Autocanteen, an AI self-checkout solution for retail stores; and Glaize, a digital company which leverages computer vision to innovate in women’s nail care.
And let’s not forget Instill AI, an early-stage startup on a mission to make AI more easily accessible; and DeepGears, a software start-up aiming to solve sizing and fitting problems in fashion e-commerce.
