At Inteligex we’re passionate about levelling the playing field. We don’t think that the big banks and investment companies should be the only people making huge trading returns when the rest of us are stuck with savings earning only 2% interest.
We have developed a consumer system that gives simple color coded trade signals and support this with comprehensive training and a live trading room. We teach people to learn to trade and we help existing Day Traders improve their trading. We believe that anybody can learn to trade successfully with our process and system.
Tell us about yourself?
I’ve always loved looking for problems and trying to fix them. I started life as a developer which suited me as I wanted to understand customer issues and then build appropriate solutions.
After a while I was looking for bigger problems to fix which logically led to Management Consultancy and a career at Kearney during which time I also completed an MBA. For me consultancy was like coding, it’s just that the problems and solutions were on a bigger scale.
I then focused my passion for customer service within large corporates by managing growth and change in customer service environments. But I really found my passion when I moved into start-ups. I love the ability to be able to make decisions quickly and see the results live in a matter of minutes!
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
I’d tell myself to be more patient. My natural tendency is to put everything in a plan and then charge ahead! But when you’re at the inception of a business things don’t go in straight lines and it takes time to evolve and test ideas and solutions. Having a co-founder to talk things through with has significantly helped me in this area.
What problem does your business solve?
We help novices learn to trade and we help more experienced traders improve their trading. To trade the financial markets you need to know where to get into a trade and when to get out.
This is what people find most difficult and getting either of these wrong can lead to a loss. We’ve analysed hundreds of thousands of market data points using machine learning to create a system that tells you when to enter and when to exit a trade.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
Big banks and hedge funds use very clever computer algorithms to make huge amounts of money trading the markets. We knew that we could produce similar technology for the person on the street, so we did. And it’s all supported with our comprehensive training and live trading room.
What is your magic sauce?
We use very sophisticated mathematical modelling similar to the investment banks and have created a simple to learn, easy to use system which is supported by our comprehensive training.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
We will continue to build a community of like minded Traders who make an income from trading using Inteligex. Ultimately we will set up a fund using the algorithm within Inteligex to make trades and generate returns.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
The biggest challenge has been getting our message across in a very congested market place.
This has been made even more difficult because unfortunately a lot of the businesses selling in the Financial Trading space are not genuine and are just looking to part you from your money.
We’ve had to build our brand around why we are different and prove that we are open, honest and trustworthy.
