Award-winning British ecological cleaning manufacturer, Delphis Eco joins the list of the world’s first 100 companies to sign The Climate Pledge. The global initiative, founded by Amazon and Global Optimisation in 2019, commits to meet the Paris Climate Agreement by 2040,10 (ten) years early.
Until today, The Climate Pledge had 53 signatories across 18 industries and 12 countries. Today, 47 more signatories were announced and now includes Delphis Eco, taking the total number of global signatories to 100. Delphis Eco is the only ecological cleaning product business to sign the pledge.
Delphis Eco’s CEO and Founder, Mark Jankovich, said:
“I founded Delphis Eco with the sole purpose to help stop the millions of litres of damaging cleaning products from being washed down the drain and harming the environment. I saw the damage cleaning products were having on the environment. The scale of the problem was staggering, but so too was the opportunity to reduce negative impact of commercial and household cleaning products. This became my sole business ambition and purpose. I’ve spent the last ten years creating, improving and innovating the Delphis Eco range we have today.
“By signing The Climate Pledge, we not only reinforce our own commitment to achieving Net Zero ahead of the Paris Agreement, but we also want to inspire other business leaders to make urgent change to save the planet by becoming Carbon Net Zero. If we can be an example and spark positive action by others across, this would also be impactful. We all have to make change, whether in our professional or home lives to save the planet. Delphis Eco has proved it’s possible to do the impossible – manufacturing a quality ecological cleaning product that works, whilst delivering a Net-Zero business and impact.”
Delphis Eco has pioneered the formulation of plant-based sustainable and renewable cleaning products making them safer for the environment and the user while not compromising on cleaning efficacy. Delphis Eco was the first UK manufacturer to achieve EU Ecolabel accreditation, now offering the UK’s largest range of accredited products. Delphis Eco’s responsible practices also extend to its packaging and have spent seven years trying to convince industry that recycled plastic is better than virgin plastic and are now the first company in the UK to bottle all of their products in 100% post-consumer recycled and recyclable plastic which is a 70% reduction in carbon versus using virgin plastic. They even use vegetable ink for their labels so no water is used in the process. They are a proud B Corp and honoured to have Royal Warrants from HM The Queen and HRH The Prince of Wales.
