The “expenses area” was described as “CFO Transformation Programmes” and the largest single payment was made to retailer Herman Miller – which is famous for its pricey ergonomic chairs – on the 12th of March with the description: “Stratford Regional Centre. Furniture Fixtures & Equipment. Mar 21”

Office fit-out company Wagstaff received the second largest amount, a cool £1.57 million over two locations – Worthing and Liverpool – followed by global logistics company SENATOR INTERNATIONAL which billed a paltry £175k across Ipswich and Leeds.

Access Self Storage’s marketing team uncovered the spending detail when examining transparency data. Head of marketing at Access, Simon Daggett, says:

“You’d imagine this means they’re gearing up for a mass return of employees with their Stratford regional offices hosting most of the workforce. This is in line with what we’re seeing. As confidence increases and workers return back to a physical office, were gaining an increase in office space rental enquiries.”
